Pretty soon, Fred's going to need to actually find a job. She thinks there are a couple of labs around town where she could find some part time work, or maybe she could see if the university needs anyone to help out in their physics department, but for now, she's spent her time trying to find an office for the welcome center she's been brainstorming for what seems like forever now.
It doesn't really help move things forward when every couple of months, something crazy like half the city being stung by bees that cause frostbite happens either.
Today, however, she's been out and about, looking at properties, hoping to find some place that might be in her price range in the next few weeks, but decides to make a detour when she realizes she's near the police station. She can definitely spare a little while to visit Jason at work, and maybe see if he wants to get lunch.
Though by the time she makes it to the front desk to ask the receptionist if he's in, she can't remember whether or not Jason's supposed to be out on patrol today or not.

So when the receptionist gives him a call to announce Fred's arrival, Jason jogs up to greet her, smiling wide. "Hey, baby," he half-yells, scooping her up in a hug. "Are you a sight for sore eyes, or what?" He'll kiss her too, probably a second or two longer than he should for his place of work.
The day is definitely looking up.

Well, she hadn't really thought past that, to be honest. Mostly, she just wanted to see him.

He lets them into his office, shutting the door behind them. Is it too presumptuous to lock the door? He tries to do it sneakily.

She hears the door click when he locks it, but doesn't think too much of it. At least not just yet.

"When have you been dealin' with police reports?" asks Jason, his plan on hold for a moment at the thought of making one of the very banes of his existence disappear. Not that he would doubt Fred could handle such a thing.
He catches her by both hands, backing up until his ass is in a chair and she's standing right in front of him.

"I've seen them, I haven't exactly written them," Fred says, though she hasn't since back in Los Angeles, since the hotel and since Wolfram and Hart. And even then, it wasn't that frequently.
"But they can't be too hard to figure out, I think."

"Not for a genius like you," Jason drawls, letting his cunning plan fall away as he slides his hands to her hips. "But I gotta say, I didn't try to draw you into this fancy office so I could watch you fix my reports." Not that he wouldn't enjoy that; he likes to watch her do just about anything.

So maybe she showed up today actually hoping for lunch, but all things considered, this isn't a bad alternative.
